Thanks for getting in touch. The Day Boat is now in the capable hands of my father (who taught me to build boats) as he was looking for a retirement project, and I really wasnt getting enough spare time to do the project justice I believe that the boat is still having a few damaged items repaired before a new deck is laid and the re-finishing can begin. To date, Vida has a new Stern knee and transom (from some re-claimed Honduras Mahogany), some of the ribs are being sistered, the centerboard case has been removed and the pivot repaired, and some of the deck structure replaced. 1/2/2012 I work as part of a small wooden boat restoration team based up in glasgow (benduffin.co.uk). We just had a YWDB in pretty reasonable condition donated to us by an older gent for us to restore at our lesure to use or sell |
